Two brothers on vacation have car trouble in a backwoods town. While they're waiting for their car to be prepared, they just happen to experience an invasion of zombies caused by that old standby of '80s horror flicks, illegal toxic waste dumping (and seeping into the town's water supply).

I bought this DVD at the dollar store a couple of years ago, it's hilariously bad. I'd offer to ship it to you but I unloaded it at a garage sale a year or two after I bought it (and got TWO bucks for it so I made a profit!)

No problem. That flick is not a classic for the ages or anything but it was a decent way to kill 90 minutes.

Be warned that (on the "Mutant" copy I had at least) the DVD transfer quality was TERRIBLE... all of the night time scenes (of which there are many) were so dark that it was impossible to tell what was going on. It gave me a headache after awhile. There are other versions of it out there (the movie is apparently in the public domain now) so it's been released on DVD a bunch of times on numerous low-budget labels. Maybe one of them was lucky enough to use a decent quality print of the movie. Happy hunting.

As some of you know, I used to be a horror/splatter fanatic. And living in Norway, where censorship hit hard, it was such a blast when we discovered at least some uncensired movies in the shops here also. "Mutant" was one of those.

That reminds me, have you seen that Norwegian-made (at least I think it's Norwegian) Nazi zombie flick "Dead Snow?" I saw a trailer on YouTube a while back and it looked kick ass. I have no idea if it's even being released in the U.S. though.

I still ahven't seen it. I've seen the "team's" first film though, entitled "Kill Buljo". (Guess what movie that is a spoof/tribute to? haha) I'll eventualy pick up Død Snø too.
