So beer is something I love. Lately, I have been on a downward spiral tasting beers I used to drink before I became a beer snob.

I almost started rioting when I found out Schlafley's brewery didn't make enough Pumpkin Ale this year. I usually stock up before Halloween and this year, it was unavailable after the first week of October.

Dammit!

That stuff is the nectar of the gods. I tried several other alleged pumpkin beers but they were crap.

Back to Sam Adams Lite I guess.

I'm getting down to the last coupla of my October shipment of my Beer of the Month. Only 2 months of deliveries left. I hope my brother renews my subscription for Christmas, although it's pretty expensive.

You get a six pack a month, MG? Do you think it's worth the money?

It's actually a 12 pack. 2 six-packs from 2 different breweries. And those 2 six-packs have 3 of each flavor. So it's getting 4 different types (3 each) delivered to the house in the last week of the month. I'm not positive, but I think my brother paid around $160 for a six month run. Honestly, I think it's over-priced and I wouldn't get it for myself. Out of all the beers I've sampled, I really liked all of them, but none of them were so good that I felt the need to buy an entire case. But it's fun to come home from work and seeing the package sitting on the steps. Everyone likes getting mail and what could be better than 12 beers delivered to your doorstep.

I thought about trying that beer of the month club myself. I'd like to try microbrews from all around the country.

They have all kinds of items-of-the-month available, but it's all pretty pricey. The beer was more expensive than I thought. 6 months is $179.70 ($29.95 a month). $30 bucks for a 12 pack is pretty steep no matter how good it is. And it goes fast. I have to supplement that 12 with a regular case of beer. I got a case of Moosehead for $20. For $20 bucks, Freddy could get like, I dunno, a quarter keg of PBR, right?

I've looked at the Beer of the Month Club, but never could justify the expense to myself.

That's pretty steep, but tasting lots of different beers sounds pretty fun.
