Pig squeals in grindcore??

So, I've listened to a few grindcore bands.... I never understood the pig squeal thing. The music is great, but why sound like a fuckin' pig. Am I missing something?

I need to get more Napalm Death. I really like this band called Despised Icon. They are a really good grindcore band. Mix in a little hardcore too. Really good stuff.
