| Since the stock market collapse I have been keeping a tigher reign on cd spending. I know it doesnt affect the day to day living but has anyone else been feeling the same way??

| My personal economy was fucked prior to the stock market nosedive, so I haven't really been collecting for awhile.
I've been picking up some good used vinyl though...

| Not mine I was broke before all of this lol.. Thankfully the gas prices are starting to drop though I think its around $3.15ish by me now. Still a bit much especially since I have a Chevy Tahoe and to fill that thing up a week is like $65 on empty. | |

| I've slowed down, but it's mostly for the sake of the twins. That Similac is expensive!! Most of my purchases lately have come from e-bay. I sell off the free giveaway stuff (t-shirts, bobbleheads, etc.) that I get from work, then use the money to make other purchases. So aside what I put out on shipping charges, it's almost like getting them for free. I recently sold a Flyers Simon Gagne bobblehead (that I got for nothing) for nearly $40.
I'll pick up cd's cheap at flea markets too and sell them on ebay. A Heaven's Edge cd that I got for $2 sold for $17.39. Not a bad turnaround.

| I've made quite a bit on out of print jazz CDs over the years. I remember finding two copies of this Wayne Shorter album (The All Seeing Eye) for $5.99 at this tiny record store in Seattle. I put them on eBay a few months apart and got $64 for the first one and $67 for the second. Good profit margin there!
It's since been reissued, you have to grab those opportunity windows while their open.

| I have been limiting myself to what i earn off ebay and trades. I have some decent stuff coming but its harder to get newer prog like what you would find at the lasers edge. I am still wondering why the prices are so high at a place like NEH though. They keep screaming its due to currency conversion but now that the US $ is gaining in strength their prices dont seem to be following...

| Born Again is easily one of my favorite metal albums...but $1500??? I bet you could get Ian Gillan to hang out with you for that much. | |

| I'm waiting for the guy to get back to me now, he seems pretty negotiable on it. If it was any other album, it wouldnt be such a big deal to me, as it is, I dont want to spend anywhere near that much. Its only missing one thing though, the Vertigo pressing of the album, my dumbass ditched it in favor of the remaster. | |
