See that? If you ask for anything other than PBR, Dennis Hopper will totally yell at you.

Whats funny is, I dont think Ive ever actually had a PBR, always heard it was crap, so I never tried one.
One of my favorite scenes from Blue Velvet though.

The tobacco products and New Jersey pollution will likely do me in long before PBR ever has a chance to. PBR loves me.
Yea, I know, I'm being totally random today. You're probably going to see a lot of threads like this here over the next couple of days... I'm taking some vacay days cuz my son's school is closed for Winter Break till Wednesday, so I'm Mr. Mom for the boys and Mr. Babysitter for my niece as well. I'm gonna need to come this-a-way and vent every once in a while.

My grandfather used to drink it, so there's a good chance that my 1st ever sip of beer when I was a wee lad was either PBR or Schaffer. My grandfather obviously had high standards.

I wanted to buy some PBR for my camping trip this past weekend. So I went to the local liquor purveyor, and it seems that the store has been bought out by a nice Chinese couple since the last time I was in there. The guy saw me scanning the cooler and asks "Can I help you?" and I sez "Yeah, where's the Pabst Blue Ribbon?" He sez (in comical Oriental accent) "Past Boo what?" I sez "Pabst Blue Ribbon? PBR?" Then his eyes light up "Ohhhhh yeah! PBR! Solly, no PBR!" Needless to say I was disappointed, as this store had always been my PBR connection in the past.
So anyway, I bought a case of Yuengling Lager instead. Cuz I'm all flexible and stuff.

Oh yea, I loves me some Yuengling. We've been camping in the Poconos since the mid 90s and I got hooked on it when we first started traveling out that way. When it first started showing up in stores in this area a few years later I did a little happy dance.

Their Black & Tan is my current favorite, but the lager is just as tasty.

I'm generally not big on black & tans because I don't really like stout, but I agree, Yuengling makes a damn good 'un.
