| Any fans? I listened to my favorites yesterday... Peter Gabriel - So and Genesis - Wind and Wuthering. I really dig the overall vibe from both of these albums.
I'm pretty much a fan of anything Gabriel/Genesis... Not so much the Phil Collins stuff though lol.

| I got the new boxset coming my way hopefully will be here tomorrow. The only Gabriel Genesis I heard was their first album and thats totally different from what they became. I can comment on this when I get to actually hear them. | |

| i kinda like the peter gabriel genesis but i have to admit I am a sucker for the phil collins genesis (and solo stuff). Have you heard Anthony Phillips - The Geese & The Ghost? He was the original Genesis guitarist. some interesting stuff...

| I like Peter Gabriel but can't stand Genesis. Peter's "Melting Face" album is a prog masterpiece in my book. So many great songs on that one:
Games Without Frontiers I Don't Remember And Through The Wire Biko
Plus it's a cool concept album.

You're now certifiably insane. Phil Collins has a "voice" that makes Michael Stipe sound like a baritone. The guy is the Howard Cosell of rock music; nasally, whiny, thin, reedy tone that sounds like fingernails on a blackboard. He makes the singer for Live sound manly!

| I seriously HATE Phil Collins.
Decent drummer; horrible vocalist.
He needs to be in Dave Matthews Band so I can consolidate all my musical hatred in one place.

| For your info. Im listening to Genesis- Tresspass right now. Wow! is all I have to say. They are very proggy so if you like proggy then you'll love the Gabriel era. Also too they are a little more on the harder rockish side as well. Its wierd hearing Gabriel sing but its cool. The song I got on now is The Knife. A lot of cool stuff going on. | |

| Trespass is one of those albums that when I listen to it, I wish I did drugs, just to enhance the experience. Great stuff. | |

| I love Genesis even with Phil Collins. I lot of people hated that the fact that Phil Collins took them in a pop direction and did not continue in same direction they had during the Peter Gabriel years.
Personally I did not discover the Genesis Peter Gabriel years later. if it wasn't for pop songs that Genesis did in the 80's when I discovered them, I may never have discovered those early Genesis albums.
