| So I have a bunch of credits at swapacd to use and have been toying with the idea of getting some of the hair metal I used to have on tape on cd. I am presently getting:
Firehouse - s/t White Lion - Pride White Lion - Mane Attraction White Lion - Big Game Damn Yankees - s/t
I was wondering what you all thought of these releases:
Firehouse - Firehouse 3 Firehouse - Hold Your Fire Damn Yankees - Dont Tread Slaughter - Stick it to Ya

| The only one I have heard is Slaughter. I don't know if I would like it now, but I hated it when it came out. The White Lions are great choices, IMO. | |

| I'm not familair with Firehouse, except that Love of a Lifetime song. Slaughter I had on tape years ago, but never upgraded to cd. Mark Slaughter's voice grates on my nerves after awhile. It's an ok album, but nothing that I'll miss. As for Damn Yankees, I only know their "hits", but I never thought it was a good fit for Ted. He's his own guy. He doesn't need to be in some slick AOR band. There's my 2 pennies. | |

Slaughter...the worst use of a good band name EVER.

| Dont like the other bands but Slaughter has alway been a favorite! So get Slaughter thats their best album too.
let me ask you something about swapacd though. I got 10 credits so does that mean I can just get cds now without using any money or do I still have to put cash in my account?

| Don't listen to those other guys, Damn Yankees - Don't Tread is the best cd you have listed. Get that one! It is much harder than the S/T. | |

| I agree with TT. Get the Damn Yankees DON'T TREAD. That's good stuff.
Slaughter are one of the most godawful abominations ever set forth upon the Earth. Avoid them like an explosive device.

I could never stand that band. Mark Slaughter sings thru his nose. I've seen them live and he's even more annoying than on record!!

There ya go. I always heard them referred to as "The Christian Slaughter," and although you'd think that wouldn't exactly be a selling point for me, I actually like them way better than I ever liked Slaughter. Go figure.

I loved VVI, and I dont mind Mark much on the album. Slaughter's ok on Stick It To Ya and The Wildlife, to me they always sounded like wannabe Invasion musically though.
