| The best HIM album is a CDR I made from the albums by them I own. Their albums are really hit or miss for me but when they hit, I really like them. | |

| The Doors S/T is so close to being a perfect album if they just didn't put that stupid Whisky Bar song on it. Ugh, I hate that song.

| Ok I am The Doors fan boy and I think the "Alabama Song (Whiskey Bar)" is cool song and great interpuation of the German three penny opera. I feel that The Doors first album is a perfect album.
I also love their version of Howlin Wolf's " Back Door Man" where Jim Morrison informs us that: You Men may eat your dinner, eat your pork and beans But I eat more chicken than any man has ever seen
pure poetry. | |

I guess the point is youll need a drink after you hear it. Nah, I just change the station. Good Lord, someone is dumb enough to play that on the radio? Yeah, the "classic rock" station here plays that a lot. Fortunately, most of the time I'm listening to a CD; I seldom listen to radio anymore.

Alex The problem with the Doors is alot of their stuff was a sign of the times and hasn't aged very well.

| Thats why Ive only ever bought the double disc greatest hits. The majority of the lyrics are great, but some of the music is just eh. | |

| To me The Doors music sounds timeless expect for a few songs like "Hello I Love You", and "Touch Me".
In the cultural impact this band on their short 4 year career is amazing.

Yeah me too, that was always one of my favorite Zep songs. But for years Ive always heard "that album would be perfect if it wasn't for that Zep cover", I really dont understand alot of the distaste about it, it sounds not only pretty great, but faithful to the original as well
