That's the idea.

Basically, I tried to find stuff I didn't think he'd heard. Originally I was going to confine it to metal and hard rock but he basically told me to throw the book at him so I did.

And that didn't even include stuff like Alabama 3, Naio Ssaion or AfroCeltSoundSystem.

I try to cater to the recipient in these comp deals. If you want me to confine my choices to things I think you'd like, then you give me some parameters. If you prefer I just wing it, I do so within what I think are reasonable parameters based on what I know of your tastes.

It sounds like the name implies. A mixture of all those influences.

It's essentially an electronica band.

Sounds pretty interesting actually.

Listening to Black Ice for the first time.

Decent so far but I'm not sure what all the rage is about. It's AC/DC. Sounds like every other Brian Johnson AC/DC album to me.

I didnt like it much myself, pretty boring. I liked it much better than Stiff Upper Lip

Agreed 100%. Its a good album but nothing amazingly good or bad.

Twisted Sister- Come Out And Play

Interesting about the Sabbath albums, you can really hear them start to go downhill there. Then on Never Say Die the plane just hits the damn mountain.

In my mind, Sabotage is where the cracks begin to show, but I actually find Never Say Die to be a better album than Technical Ecstasy. I like some of the progressive elements on that one (Air Dance - which features some great Don Airey keyboard work), plus there's the great bass line of Junior's Eyes and even though they are kind of "goofy", I'll always enjoy A Hard Road and Never Say Die.

I actually every Black Sabbath in various degrees, the only ones I don't care for is "Technical Ecstasy" and " Forbidden", and even "Techincal Ecstacy" has its moments for me.

I agree on Sabotage, but Never Say Die is just bad though, to this day I fade out on the last half of the album. Theres at least 4 songs I like on Technical Ecstasy, Never Say Die has 2, maybe 3.

I dont care for Forbidden either myself, and TYR is another I just cant get into.
