| My favorite movie I have never seen is "Ravenous". The wife and I wanted to see it in theatres when it came out, but didn't. We haven't gotten around to watching since. | |

| Half of the DVDs on my shelf have never been watched. But of the ones I've yet to watch, I guess my favorite would be "Stephen King's Desperation"...because somehow or other we ended up with two copies of that one, and I'm not even sure how. We must've picked one up out of the $5 cheapo bin at Walmart, then when our local supermarket was closing down its video rental dept. some time ago and was selling off all the DVDs, my wife came home with another one. And they both sit on my shelf, patiently collecting dust and waiting for the day when I'll finally squeeze it into my viewing schedule.... it's sad, really. Anybody wanna trade one of your unseen DVDs for one of my copies of "Stephen King's Desperation?" | |

| Death Proof
This was the Quentin Tarantino half of Grindhouse. I got it the day it came out then started reading reviews on it. I got Planet Terror later and loved it so between that and the reviews I read of Death Proof, I've never gotten around to watching it and probably never will.

| Here's another one.
Flower of Flesh And Blood. From the infamous Japanese Guinea Pig series. CDUniverse sent it to me by mistake and I almost kept it but I started reading about it and couldn't bring myself to watch it.

Nah, it's a basically plotless gorefest about a guy in a samurai costume who kidnaps a woman, drugs her and procedes to methodically dismember her. Supposedly the FX are very realistic. So much so that Charlie Sheen allegedly reported it to the FBI as a snuff film. The latest editions come with a "making of" to demonstrate how the FX were done and prove it was no snuff film. Still, even the gorehound that I am couldn't bring myself to watch it.

| I bought Winona Ryder's "Boys" on VHs in 1996. The VHS just sat. I got rid of all my VHSs about 2 years ago and got Boys on DVD. I finally watched that movie a couple of months ago, only 12 years after the fact. | |

That's surprising. Sounds awful. I love gore, but I might not be able to stomach that either. I'm losing my taste for human-on-human violence. Now if it's a monster?? Yes, let the blood flow in the streets.

| I was a big slasher film fan when I was in my teens but now I prefer my horrors to be of the supernatural/creature variety. After all the "Hostel," "Saw," and other so called "Torture porn" flicks I've kinda gotten burnt out on that whole scene.
My wife and I saw a TV commercial for the forthcoming "Saw V" the other night and she sez "They're still MAKING those? Jeez." Haha.

| Another for me is "A Scanner Darkly". Two of my favorite actors, Winona and Keanu stink up this film and I really want to see it, but always forget that I have it on DVD. | |

| I can't wrap my mind around the concept of this topic. How can it be a favorite if I've never seen it? There are a ton of movies that I haven't gotten around to watching yet, but I don't know that any of 'em will stack up after viewing. | |

| I have the Piano at home about the Holocaust, I am sure it will be an excellent film and will do with the subject in an interesting way, but I can't bring myself to watch it. | |

I don't know, it just a notion that you're either gonna like it, when you see it, or the fact that you forgot that you haven't seen it.

I think the Saw franchise has become really cool! There is now a story arc that traverses each entry in the series. In other words, while each entry is self-contained, there are elements and characters that come back and/or are further explained in each subsequent entry. It's actually gotten to the point now where if you haven't seen the earlier Saw films, I don't know how much sense the new ones make because the elaborate and expand on the mythos of the earlier stories. I don't know if this was the original intention of the first Saw or not but I admire what the creators have morphed it into.
